On January 30, 2023 Etihad’s A380, A6-APG, took off from Teruel Airport in Spain and flew to Tarbes-Lourdes in France. The A6-APG is the first of the airline’s A380 to be reactivated. In March 2020 the aircraft was removed from active service due to the lack of passenger demand during the pandemic and was stored in Teruel in April 2021.
The airline announced that four of its A380 will be reactivated due to the rise in demand and be ready for air travel in summer 2023. Originally the carrier had 10 A380s. Currently, there is no news regarding the remaining A380 in storage.
