Finally, the two Turkish A400M’s which have been stuck in Ukraine since the beginning of the war with Russia, have finally been recovered and been flown out of Ukraine.
On February 24 2022, when the invasion started two Turkish A400M flew to Kyiv-Boryspil International Airport to deliver humanitarian supplies and were supposed to repatriate Turkish nationals. However still that day the invasion escalated forcing the closure of Ukraine’s airspace and grounding the two A400Ms. The crew members found refuge at the Turkish Embassy in Kyiv.
