On October 12, 2025, passengers on a Ryanair flight, Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, at Kraków John Paul II International Airport (KRK) were evacuated on the ramp after the crew reported smoke of unknown origin in the cabin during pre-departure for Bristol. Airport fire-rescue and airline engineers responded immediately; everyone was moved by bus back to the terminal for rebooking and welfare support. There were no injuries reported.
An airport spokesperson said the cause is not yet known and the aircraft is undergoing checks by the relevant services. They added that airport traffic is regular, the aircraft stopped clear of taxiways and did not block operations.
