Captain of LATAM Dies Inflight

On August 14, 2023, a LATAM Boeing 787-9 performing flight from Miami to Santiago de Chile had to divert to Panama City due to the incapacitation of the captain. The aircraft landed safely at Panama City Tocumen International Airport, where the captain was pronounced dead.
