LATAM Airlines Group and its affiliates have unveiled their most significant regional-jet commitment to date, agreeing to acquire up to 74 Embraer E195-E2s, 24 firm orders plus 50 purchase options, in a deal valued at about US$2.1 billion at list prices for the firm tranche. First deliveries are slated for the second half of 2026, with aircraft initially headed to LATAM Airlines Brasil and potential allocation to other group carriers as the program ramps. The move is positioned to deepen LATAM’s short- and medium-haul connectivity across South America while adding a new, right-sized gauge alongside its narrowbody fleet.
Embraer said the order advances LATAM’s plan to expand travel options and open thinner routes with lower trip costs and fuel burn than larger narrowbodies, aligning with the group’s network strategy. The company also reiterated the 2H2026 service entry for the first units, underscoring that options provide flexibility to scale as demand and fleet needs evolve.
