A SunExpress Boeing 737-8HC (737-800) suffered a left/main landing-gear collapse while taxiing for flight XQ7646 from Antalya (AYT) to Gaziantep on 13 February 2026. Initial reporting indicates the aircraft was en route to the departure runway when the left main gear leg/strut failed, leaving the jet partially supported by the damaged gear and low-hanging structure until it came to a stop.
SunExpress said the event was triggered by a technical failure in the landing-gear shock absorber during taxi. The airline stated that all passengers were disembarked safely and that the aircraft was removed from service for a technical inspection.
To limit knock-on disruption, SunExpress indicated the Antalya–Gaziantep rotation would be operated with another aircraft; separate reports identified the affected aircraft as TC-SOB and said a replacement 737 ultimately completed the sector after a multi-hour delay.
