A United Airlines Boeing 737-800 operating Flight 605 from Denver to Nashville was forced to deplane at Denver International Airport on 6 March, after the aircraft made contact with a deicing truck during morning ground operations. The jet, registered N27213, was carrying 122 passengers and six crew members. United said there were no injuries on board, but the employee operating the deicing truck was taken to the hospital. Airport officials said the collision occurred at about 8:26 a.m. local time while the aircraft was exiting a deicing pad, and investigators said it happened in an area not managed by air traffic control. Passengers were taken off via air stairs and bused back to the terminal, and United arranged a replacement aircraft for the Nashville service. The FAA is investigating the incident, which unfolded as heavy snow disrupted operations across Denver.
