Which Citizenship Allows You to Travel to More Countries?

Citizenship of a country can allow a person to travel to more countries without the need for visas or with more access to obtain visas. For example, American citizenship enables one to travel to over 160 countries without a prior visa. In contrast, Brazilian citizenship allows one to travel to about 90 countries without a previous visa.

Some of the countries with the most valuable citizenships for international travel include:

United States (access to over 160 countries without a visa)

United Kingdom (access to over 150 countries without a visa)

Canada (access to over 150 countries without a visa)

Germany (access to over 150 countries without a visa)

France (access to over 130 countries without a visa)

Australia (access to over 130 countries without a visa)

Japan (access to over 130 countries without a visa)

Switzerland (access to over 130 countries without a visa)

It’s important to note that immigration and visa rules can change over time and vary by the destination country. Additionally, even with citizenship of a country that allows entry to other countries without a visa, some restrictions, such as time limits on stays and valid passport requirements, may apply.
