Mexicana has taken delivery of its first Embraer E190-E2, marking an important fleet-modernization milestone for the revived Mexican state-backed carrier.
The aircraft is part of Mexicana’s plan to renew and expand its operations with more efficient regional jets. The E190-E2 offers improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced noise compared with previous-generation aircraft, making it well-suited for domestic and regional routes.
For Mexicana, the arrival of the first E190-E2 represents a key step toward strengthening its network and improving operational reliability as the airline continues to rebuild its presence in the Mexican aviation market.
The delivery also highlights Embraer’s growing role in Latin America, where the E-Jet E2 family is being positioned as a modern option for airlines serving thinner routes at lower operating costs.
