The United Arab Emirates has ordered up to 20 Embraer C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft, marking a major win for Embraer’s growing airlifter program.
The agreement includes 10 firm aircraft and options for 10 more, making it Embraer’s largest single-country international C-390 order to date. The deal strengthens the aircraft’s position in the global tactical transport market and expands its presence in the Middle East.
The C-390 Millennium is a twin-engine military airlifter designed for cargo transport, troop movement, aerial refueling, medical evacuation, humanitarian missions, and disaster-relief operations. It offers jet-powered performance, a large cargo hold and the ability to operate from challenging airfields.
For the UAE, the aircraft will add modern lift capacity to support both military and civil-response missions. Its multi-role design gives operators the flexibility to move equipment, support overseas deployments and respond quickly to emergencies.
The order is also significant for Embraer, which has been working to expand the C-390 customer base beyond Brazil. The aircraft has already attracted interest from several NATO and allied air forces, and the UAE commitment further confirms its appeal as an alternative to traditional turboprop tactical transports.
